How to Use the KOKOCAL QUiCK PANEL Add-on

This guide focuses on the Marketplace add-on edition. Installation is kept short, while the main emphasis is on the sidebar menu, screens, input features, and display settings.

Short setup

After Marketplace release, setup focuses on installation and permission review.

Operation-focused

Understand what the Main, Database, and Settings screens are for.

Across Workspace

Check usage differences in Sheets, Slides, and Docs.

Setup Flow

The add-on edition is designed for Marketplace installation instead of manual Apps Script file creation.

  1. 1

    Install from Marketplace

Open KOKOCAL QUiCK PANEL in Google Workspace Marketplace and install it for your account.

  2. 2

Open it in a target file

Open KOKOCAL QUiCK PANEL from the Extensions menu in Google Sheets, Slides, or Docs.

  3. 3

    Add a database

Register a spreadsheet with labels in column A, attributes in column B, and input values in column C.

Sidebar Tabs

Use the icon tabs below the title to switch between Main, Database, and Settings.

Main

Choose a database and sheet, then search, copy, and insert registered data.

Database

Add database spreadsheets and review or delete added databases as cards.

Settings

Change display language, card layout, display items, record numbers, items per page, cache time, input behavior, search/sort visibility, and overwrite confirmation.

Features

Search, sort, pagination, and layout controls help keep large reusable input lists manageable.

Search

Search labels, attributes, and input values by partial match. Result counts appear in the search area.

Sort

Sort cards ascending or descending by the source spreadsheet row order. Sorting can be hidden in settings.

Pagination

Set how many registered items appear per page to keep the sidebar compact.

Card layouts

Switch between standard, compact, and one-line layouts. The one-line layout supports label and attribute colors.

Display items

Show or hide the record number, label, and attribute to keep cards concise for each database and workflow.

Copy

Copy the input value to the clipboard, useful when direct insertion is not available.

Insert

Insert at the cursor, replace selected text, and in Sheets apply values to multiple selected cells.

Google Sheets Features

In Sheets, the add-on also works as a helper for function input.

Normal input

Insert the value into the active cell or each selected cell.

Function input

Treat the input value as a function name and insert it as =value().

Multiple cells

When multiple cells are selected, insert the same value into every selected cell.

Overwrite confirmation

Choose whether to confirm before inserting into cells that already have values. It is off by default to prioritize fast input.

Settings

Settings are stored for the sidebar and can be adjusted for each user's workflow.

Display language

Choose Japanese, English, or Traditional Chinese for the sidebar UI.

Button card layout

Choose standard, compact, or one-line card layout. The one-line layout also supports label and attribute colors.

Display items

Show or hide the record number, label, and attribute on cards. Hidden items are removed without leaving awkward spacing in each layout.

Record number display

Choose whether # numbers show the source spreadsheet row number or row number - 1 excluding the header row.

Items per page

Set the number of registered data cards per page with a numeric input.

Cache time

Choose how long loaded database data is cached. Use Refresh on the Main screen when you want spreadsheet changes to appear immediately.

Input mode

In Google Sheets only, switch between normal input and function input.

Show search

Hide search when the source manual order should not be changed by filtering.

Show sort

Hide sorting when users should follow the source spreadsheet order.

Overwrite confirmation

In Google Sheets only, choose whether to confirm before inserting into cells that already have values. Confirmation is off by default.

Database Spreadsheet

Create the database with a normal Google spreadsheet. Users need permission to read that spreadsheet.

Column A: Label

The name shown as the card title.

Column B: Attribute

Supporting information such as category, use case, or type.

Column C: Input value

The actual value used by the copy and insert buttons.

Use row 2 and below

Use row 1 as headers and row 2 onward as registered data.

Notes

Database permissions

Users without read access to a registered database spreadsheet cannot display its data.

Editing state

In Slides and Docs, place the cursor inside editable text before pressing insert.

Cache

Use the refresh button when you want spreadsheet changes to appear immediately.

Before release

During pre-Marketplace testing, names and links may differ from the production release.
